Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for a range of financial functions ranging from cashiering, banking, and financial reporting to collecting for water and sewer services. Staff also collects and accounts for all monies paid to the City.

The Department's staff also pays the City's bills and act as the general receptionists for City Hall. This includes greeting visitors and answering the main telephone lines.

We provide the public with a wide variety of general information, including City and County transit schedules and park reservation information.

  • Budget coordination and preparation
    • Preparing key dates calendar
    • Reviewing preliminary budget submittals
    • Attending budget meetings with department heads
    • Preparing the budget document
  • Preparing and submitting required reports by their statutory deadlines
  • Auditing
    • Coordinating the auditor's work
    • Approving the audited financial statements
    • Scheduling the auditor's presentation to the City Council
