The next election for the City of Cloverdale will be November 2, 2010.  This regular Municipal Election will be held for the purpose of electing three (3) Cloverdale City Councilmembers and one (1) City Treasurer for four year terms, expiring December 31, 2014. 

Campain Guidelines and Nomination Packets will be available by appointment only beginning Monday, July 12, 2010 through August 6, 2010, unless extended. 

Please contact the City Clerk's office at 707 894.2521 or the Deputy City Clerk's office at 707 894.1701 for an appointment if you are interested in receiving a nomination packet when it becomes available.

Political campaign signs are permitted only on private property for a period not to exceed thirty days preceding an election and seven days after an election.  Signs shall not exceed sixteen square feet in sign area.

If you are registered to vote, you will be mailed a sample ballot and voter information pamphlet approximately three weeks prior to an election.  If you do not receive a sample ballot and voter information pamphlet at least a week prior to an election, call the County of Sonoma Registrar of Voters Office.  It is important that your voter registration reflect both your current residence address and mailing address if different than your residence.  Because sample ballots reflect the candidates and issues for the area in which you reside, they can not be forwarded. 

The sample ballot and voter information pamphlet materials include:

• The date of the election
• A copy of the ballot you will receive at the polls
• Information concerning candidates and measures
• The location of your polling place for the election
• Whether or not your polling place is accessible to the disabled
• An application for a vote-by-mail ballot
