Redevelopment Agency

About the Agency
Cloverdale's Redevelopment Agency was created in 1983. Its purpose is to promote economic development and eliminate blight. Funding for the Agency comes from a dedicated portion of the property tax.

The majority of the Agency's resources are currently dedicated to capital projects, including the 4-Corners Projects: a new police station, a new fire station, a new performing arts center, and a new history center.

The Agency, in partnership with others, is also involved in a number of economic development activities, including the Genuinely Cloverdale Branding Initiative.

Housing Program
The City has an active and progressive affordable housing program. Its primary funding sources are Redevelopment funds put aside and the City's Inclusionary Housing Ordinance.

The program has on-going activities such as the Inclusionary Housing Program. It also has money set aside for projects of opportunity, which are intended not only to provide affordable housing but also to catalyze economic development in specific areas of the community.
